The Challenge
An early-stage startup needed to move from a product concept to a production-ready application across both mobile and backend, without the overhead of a large delivery team.
The Role
WALTIQ owned delivery end to end: architecture decisions, backend implementation, Android development, and coordination with iOS delivery, through to production deployment.
The Approach
With a small, senior-led setup, technical decisions were made to favor the smallest sound architecture that could support the product's near-term roadmap — avoiding premature complexity while keeping the codebase ready to scale. Backend and mobile work progressed in parallel, with API contracts defined early to keep both sides moving independently.
Key Engineering Work
- Defined initial product architecture across backend and mobile
- Built backend services and APIs supporting the product
- Delivered the Android application
- Coordinated iOS delivery alongside Android and backend work
- Supported cloud deployment and production release
- Iterated on the product based on early usage
Outcome
The product moved from concept to a production release with working mobile and backend systems, giving the startup a functioning platform to build its next iteration on.
